As a result of operative measures and investigative actions, officers of the Dmanisi District Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained J.A., born in 1979 and previously convicted of various crimes, on charges of premeditated murder.

The crime is punishable by 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.

As the investigation established, an argument between J.A. and D.D., who were in a drunken state, escalated into a physical confrontation, as a result of which D.D. lost his balance, rolled down the stairs, and fell onto a concrete slab.

D.D. died at the scene of the accident as a result of the injuries he sustained. The accused buried the body in the yard of his own house in order to cover his tracks.

Kvemo Kartli police discovered D.D.`s body in the yard of the accused`s house as a result of an investigative experiment. Law enforcement officers arrested J.A. The investigation is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code, which refers to premeditated murder.
