President of Georgia pardoned 70 individuals

Mikheil Kavelashvili has granted pardons to 70 individuals in celebration of the Svetitskhoveli holiday.

The pardons included 42 non-custodial sentences and 24 prison sentences, while 4 individuals had their convictions completely expunged.

"The President of Georgia`s use of the exclusive powers granted to him by the Constitution is rooted in the principles of humanism and the best interests of the state", - reads the statement of Presidential Administration.
