Migration Department employees deported 107 foreign citizens from Georgia

As a result of close coordination between the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and relevant units of the Ministry, 107 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia during the last month.

Deported persons are citizens of Russia, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan, Bangladesh, Jordan, Myanmar, Nepal, Syria, Azerbaijan and Ethiopia.

In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without legal grounds and to carry out their expulsion from Georgia.
