Pensions will no longer be suspended solely due to inaccuracies in certain identification data, reads the statement, issued by the Ministry of IDPs, Labour, Health and Social Affairs.
"Previously, if any discrepancies were found between the ID card details and the Public Service Development Agency database, pension payments were halted until the citizen submitted a corrected document.
Under the new amendments, pensions will only be suspended if the ID number or the birth year, month, or date is incorrect.
In all other cases, the Social Service Agency will verify the data provided against the information held by the Public Service Development Agency, ensuring pensioners continue to receive their payments with minimal disruption.
This decision will allow approximately 1,000 pensioners to receive their annual pension without the need for additional procedures or bureaucracy.
They will no longer be required to visit the agency`s service center or Liberty Bank to request a pension renewal", - reads the statement.
