As a result of registration for the 2026-2027 academic year, approximately 15,000 children have been admitted to Tbilisi’s municipal kindergartens. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

"At this stage, more than 8,000 places remain available. Across the capital, municipal kindergartens serve approximately 60,000 children. The Kindergarten Management Agency is beginning the new academic year with several noteworthy developments. In particular, Tbilisi Municipal Kindergarten No. 168 has welcomed its first group of children. This is an entirely new kindergarten located on Evgeni Apkhazava Street in Samgori District. It is designed for 12 groups and will serve approximately 400 children.

The building fully complies with modern standards, is accessible to persons with disabilities, and meets all child-safety requirements. Approximately 150 children are currently registered at the kindergarten.

In addition, other infrastructure projects were implemented in Tbilisi’s kindergartens during the recent holiday period. In particular, various repair and rehabilitation works were carried out in 24 kindergartens, including interior repairs, facade renovation and improvements to courtyard infrastructure", - said Kakha Kaladze.
