The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, and the Commander of the Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, attended the dress rehearsal for the Independence Day event on Freedom Square.
One of the key components of the main event on May 26 is the taking of the military oath by the recruits of the National Military Service of Conscripts.
In addition to the capital, conscripts will take their oath in various parts of Georgia, across 12 historical locations.
Traditionally, military exhibitions will be set up, allowing the public to view military equipment, weaponry, and gear in Tbilisi and 20 other cities.
At the conclusion of the festive event, aircraft from the Aviation Command will perform a flyover.
The dress rehearsal for the event dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia was also attended by other leadership figures of the defense agency.
