In the first quarter of 2026, tourism revenues increased significantly and reached record levels. In January-March of the current year, the country received USD 829.8 million in revenue from tourism.

Despite the events in the Middle East and their subsequent negative impact on global tourist flows, Georgia received 0.5% more tourism revenue in January-March than in the same period last year.

The growth from the EU and the UK is particularly impressive - spending by tourists from these countries increased by 36.4%, amounting to USD 140.7 million. Notably, the European Union ranks first in tourism revenue with a 17% share.

In the first quarter, revenue from tourists arriving from Turkey increased by 12.2% to $120.1 million, from Ukraine by 34.2%, and from Saudi Arabia by 47.6%.

In 2025, revenues from travel (tourism) increased by 6.0% annually and totaled USD 4,690.2 million.
