The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Vice Prime Minister Irakli Chikovani, together with the Commander of the Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, and military personnel, attended the funeral service at the Trinity Cathedral to commemorate and pay tribute to the soul of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

The memory of Ilia II was honored by the Deputy Minister of Defense and the Commander of the Defense Forces, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, military personnel, representatives of the National Defense Academy and the Cadet Military Lyceum.
