Due to heavy snowfall and difficult meteorological conditions, special traffic regimes have been imposed on certain sections of the roads. Because of the loose ice, heavy snowfall and difficult meteorological conditions, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the Nakerala Pass, the Sachkhere – Racha road, the Partskhisi - Tetritskaro road and the Gudauri – Posta - Kobi section.

Giorgi Ormotsadze, Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department, calls on the population to obey the restrictions imposed on the roads.

“Cleaning works are underway in a continuous mode. Appropriate snow removal equipment has been mobilized in all necessary directions. Technical salt is being poured on the roads. As a result, traffic on roads of international importance is free. We still have restrictions on trailer and semi-trailer vehicles on the Kobi-Gudauri section, as well as, due to heavy snow and ice, we still have restrictions on trailer and semi-trailer vehicles in the high mountainous region.
