As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Batumi Police Division of Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two persons: T.K., born in 1994, and L.B., born in 1993, who has a previous conviction, on charges of illegal, group purchase and storage of narcotic drugs in a particularly large amount, facilitating their sale, and illegal use of narcotic drugs without a doctor"s prescription.

The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During the personal search of the detainees, and search activities held in their residential apartment and a vehicle, law enforcement officers also seized a particularly large amount of the narcotic drug "Methadone" prepared for sale from various places as evidence.

Materials necessary for packaging narcotics, including electric scales, were also seized from the defendants` apartment.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260, 260 (4) and 273 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
