As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on September 2, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs seized a particularly large amount of narcotic substances in Tbilisi and Adjara - up to 3 kilograms of "methadone", 32 packages of various types of narcotic drugs packaged for sale and 140 psychotropic pills - 4 persons were detained.

The following persons were detained for the facts of illegal purchase and storage of narcotic substances in a particularly large amount: citizen of Ukraine, born in 1985 A. A. and previously convicted Georgian citizens: T.N., born in 1992, G.Dz., born in 1991, and B.M., born in 1981.

The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

Law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of narcotics as a result personal search and search activities held in residential homes and vehicles. As a result of investigative actions, materials necessary for packaging narcotics were also seized.

The investigation is underway under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
