Following the one-on-one meeting between Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan the negotiations continued in an extended format with the participation of members of both governments.

The meeting focused on the growing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and the importance of fully utilizing the existing potential in this regard.

The discussion also covered close partnership in the energy sector and major regional transport and energy projects jointly implemented by Georgia and Azerbaijan. Among them, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway was highlighted as playing a key role in ensuring regional connectivity. From the Georgian side, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan H.E. Zurab Pataradze.

From the Azerbaijani side, participants included the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President on Foreign Policy Affairs Hikmet Hajiyev, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Georgia H.E. Faig Guliyev.
