The recent interactions between Georgian and the US officials have given cause for optimism, reflecting a positive shift in attitude and tone. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

"The attitude, the messages, and the phone conversation between the Prime Minister [of Georgia] and Marco Rubio [US Secretary of State] give us reason to believe that relations will start afresh. The Georgian government is fully prepared for this.

We have often spoken about how the previous administration behaved. Their statements were rooted solely in lies, blackmail, and deception, something we categorically found unacceptable. We desire a partnership, friendship with America, and we are ready to open a new chapter in our relations", - added Kakha Kaladze.
