Three citizens of Georgia, identified as members of an organised crime group, have been arrested in Valencia following intensive investigative operations carried out jointly by Georgian and Spanish law enforcement officers.

Active police operations remain underway to apprehend a 4th member of the gang.

Georgian police attaché participated in the special operation alongside Spanish counterparts.

The detainees face charges of residential burglary, money laundering, and membership of an organised crime group.

The suspects systematically burglarised residential properties across Spain. Following a prearranged plan, they targeted unoccupied homes, unlawfully gaining entry using specialised tools to steal high-value goods and cash.

Searches of the suspects, their vehicles, and temporary lodgings yielded stolen property, substantial sums of cash, and specialised burglary tools. Statutory legal proceedings against the detainees are currently underway. To combat international organised crime effectively, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia continues active cooperation with EU member states` law enforcement agencies, Interpol, and Europol through police attachés deployed across European nations.
