Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia together with President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and members of the executive and legislative authorities of the country attended a prayer service dedicated to the Day of the Restoration of Autocephaly.

The service was held at Sioni Patriarchal Cathedral and was led by the Patriarchal Locum Tenens, Metropolitan Shio of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, alongside members of the clergy.

Following the service, Metropolitan Shio conducted a memorial service marking the 9th day since the passing of His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, President and Speaker of Parliament laid flowers at the Patriarch`s grave, once again paying tribute to his memory.
