Two citizens of Georgia, who were illegally detained in the occupied territory near the village of Dvani, Kareli municipality, on January 13, are now free and are currently in territory controlled by the central government. The State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG] already cinfirmed this information.
"The central Government of Georgia used all relevant measures available to secure their release.
In consideration of the best interests of those illegally detained, we have deliberately refrained from revealing names and other details to avoid jeopardising the process. Experience shows that such an approach significantly facilitates achieving the desired outcome.
The central government of Georgia, alongside the SSSG, remains committed to actively working to secure the release of all Georgian citizens unlawfully held in occupied territories", - says the agency.
