The Roads Department of the Georgian Ministry of Infrastructure continues construction of a new Aragvi Bridge at the 26th km of the strategically important Tbilisi – Senaki - Leselidze highway.

At this stage, the construction of 4 piers of the bridge has been completed, and the fifth pier is in the completion phase. In parallel, the installation of 73-meter metal coils is underway.

“The new bridge will significantly improve traffic safety on one of the busiest road sections. The original bridge was constructed in 1973. Its carriageway frequently sustained damage, necessitating periodic repairs, causing inconvenience to traffic and passengers. The project, financed from the state budget in the amount of approximately GEL 20 million, also aims to contribute to Georgia’s transit function. The population will be able to use the new bridge starting in 2026”, - said the Roads Department.
