Prime Minister of Georgia met with Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vilayat Eyvazov, who is on an official visit to Georgia.

The meeting focused on the fruitful cooperation between the two countries and the prospects for further deepening the strategic partnership. The successful bilateral partnership established over the years between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Azerbaijan was emphasized. It was noted that the agreement on cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries signed today will contribute to further strengthening the existing partnership between the relevant agencies, including in the field of crime prevention, detection and suppression.

The conversation also touched on the importance of establishing stability and lasting peace in the region.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze, Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev.
