Norwegian low-cost airline to start operating on the Georgian aviation market on the Copenhagen-Tbilisi-Copenhagen route from June 2026.

Another low-cost European airline is set to enter the Georgian aviation market.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Scandinavia`s second-largest airline will commence operations in Georgia from summer 2026.

Norwegian will operate direct, regular flights between Copenhagen and Tbilisi twice a week, starting from June 27.

"The entry of one of Europe`s leading low-cost carriers into the Georgian market underscores Georgia`s successful aviation policy, including efforts to diversify markets. It also highlights the country`s growing tourism sector and its strategic positioning on the international stage.

Scandinavian countries represent a significant target market for the Ministry of Economy in developing Georgia`s aviation and tourism industries. The introduction of direct regular flights between Tbilisi and Copenhagen will greatly enhance connectivity, fostering increased tourism from this region and positively impacting revenue from the sector. This will be the first direct regular flight between the 2 capitals", - reads the statement of the agency.
