The annual meeting was held at the LEPL – Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia within the operational activity of the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT), which focuses on property-related crime.

The event was opened by Irakli Dondoladze, Deputy Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Participants were also addressed by the operational activity leader, representative of the Spanish side – José Ángel González Morán. Representatives of about ten European countries participated in the annual meeting, along with relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The meeting discussed the experiences of the participating countries in combating criminal trends, including property crimes, as well as existing challenges at the local and international levels and possible ways to solve them.

The importance of deepening international police cooperation in combating criminal threats, strengthening information exchange mechanisms and sharing best practices was emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, the parties summarized the progress achieved in combating crime and expressed their readiness for dynamic cooperation in this direction.
