As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted together with the Prosecutor General’s Office, officers of the Anti-Trafficking and Illegal Migration Division under the Main Division for Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department, L.Kh., born in 1997, were arrested on charges of trafficking of a minor, providing premises for prostitution, and facilitating prostitution.
The committed crime envisions up to 12 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person, with prior knowledge, recruited a minor girl for the purpose of sexual exploitation, whom he employed in one of the massage parlors he owned. In particular, according to the accused person, the minor provided sexual services to clients entering the salon in exchange for a certain amount of money. The evidence obtained by the investigation also revealed that the minor paid half of the money earned in this way to L.Kh.
As a result of the investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, L.Kh. was arrested as an accused person.
The investigation is underway under Articles 254, Part I and II, Article 143, Part I and II of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
