As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at various times, officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 3 people on charges of facilitating the illegal, group purchase, storage and sale of large and especially large amounts of narcotic drugs: A.K., born in 1989, with a previous conviction, and citizens of the Republic of Turkey: B.U., born in 1996, and M.K., born in 1991.

The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

Law enforcement officers in Batumi, as a result of personal search and search activities in residential homes of the accused persons, seized various types of drugs as evidence, including 74 packages of "methadone", "tetrahydrocannabinol" and "dried marijuana" packaged for sale in particularly large quantities.

The police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotics, electric scales and a large amount of money. The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-(4) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
