Prime Minister of Georgia said the pre-election process was competitive and fundamentally free from the use of administrative resources, threats, pressure, and violence.
“Today marks the end of the election campaign, and we would like to summarise the pre-election process. As you know, 12 political entities are participating in the elections, and they were given the opportunity to conduct their campaigns freely and on equal terms. The election process was competitive and fundamentally free from the use of administrative resources, as well as threats, pressure, and violence.
Tomorrow will be a decisive election in which Georgian citizens will determine the fate of their cities and villages. We are pleased that over recent years, local self-government has become a trusted element of governance, enjoying especially high confidence in society.
This is an achievement that every citizen of our country must value and protect. We are confident that our fellow citizens will make a choice tomorrow that will best ensure the advancement and development of our cities, villages, and every municipality. On behalf of the Government of Georgia, I call on every citizen, every voter, to demonstrate high civic responsibility and to exercise their right to vote in the local self-government elections”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
