As a result of various operational measures and investigative actions conducted at different times, officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested L. Q., born in 1992, and I.O., a Turkish citizen born in 2001, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs in a particularly large amount, facilitation of illegal sale, and illegal planting and cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs.

The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During the personal search of the detainees’ and search activities held in their apartments, law enforcement officers also seized various types of drugs prepared for sale from one of the locations as evidence, including “MDMA”, “Alpha PVP”, “Methadone”, “Dried Marijuana” and “Herbal Cannabis”. Materials necessary for packaging narcotics were also seized.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260, 260-(3) and 265-(1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
