Chairman of the Government of Adjara paid tribute to the memory of those who died in the August War

The Chairman of the Government of Adjara paid tribute to the memory of those who died in the 2008 Russian-Georgian war.

Sulkhan Tamazashvili laid flowers at the memorials of heroes in Batumi and Kobuleti.

As he said, it is important to pursue a correct and consistent policy in the process of de-occupation of the country: “The state is doing everything to prevent similar tragedies in the future and restore the unity of Georgia peacefully”.

The fallen soldiers were once again remembered and the memorial to the heroes was laid with flowers by family members of those who died in the war, representatives of the Government of Adjara, Supreme Council and the City Hall.
