Neither Georgian nor Israeli intelligence services had any information regarding potential terrorist attacks in Georgia. Such a statement was released by the State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG].
Thus the agency responded to media reports suggesting that several members of the Knesset canceled a planned visit to Georgia due to alleged terrorist threats.
“Therefore, no such information was shared with anyone… We are in contact with representatives of the Israeli intelligence services, who expressed surprise over the spread of incorrect information. It is very regrettable and significant that such information is circulated by parts of the Georgian media without verification with us. We strongly urge everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information that could harm Georgia”, - reads says the SSSG.
