The relevant agencies will not only monitor cases that are already in the past, but will also carry out monitoring in real time; the State Audit Office has already introduced the practice of monitoring tenders and state procurement in real time, the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia/State Minister for Legal Enforcement Coordination Issues said at today`s briefing.
According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, in 2026, the Audit Office plans to audit up to 100 agencies and organizations at the central, autonomous, and local levels.
"I would like to touch upon several very important issues that have a qualitative impact on the Georgian state and society.
First of all, anti-corruption measures: the relevant agencies will not only monitor cases that are already in the past, but will also carry out monitoring in real time.
For example: the State Audit Office has already introduced the practice of monitoring tenders and state procurement in real time.
In 2026, the Audit Office plans to audit up to one hundred agencies and organizations at the central, autonomous, and local levels.
Through its recommendations and the detection of violations, the Office has already managed to save or return tens of millions of GEL to the state budget. In the last few months alone, the monetary value of materials forwarded from the Audit Office to the Prosecutor’s Office amounts to 50 million GEL", - said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
