I wish everyone good health, but if needed, one can use the free lung cancer screening program. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

"As part of the Health and Social Services Department’s Disease Screening Programme, which was one of our election pledges, a third component - lung cancer screening - was added to the programme in May.

The screening is provided completely free of charge, with all costs covered by Tbilisi City Hall. Since the programme was launched on 1 May, a total of 2,761 citizens have undergone screening. Of these, 1,397 are men and 1,364 are women. Free screening is available to active smokers aged 45 to 75, inclusive, who are registered in Tbilisi, as well as to citizens in the same age group who quit smoking within the past 15 years. As part of the programme, beneficiaries undergo a low-dose computed tomography (CT) scan", - said Kakha Kaladze.
