The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, along with leaders of regional countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and others, will attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran.

Iran’s spiritual leader was assassinated on February 28. The tragedy claimed the lives of several members of Khamenei’s family - his daughter, son-in-law, grandson and daughter-in-law died on the spot.

Funeral ceremonies will be held in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be buried in Mashhad.
