As part of his official visit to the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Roni Meskhi, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, the sides reviewed the close cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and emphasized the importance of strong, friendly relations between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the fruitful cooperation established between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Armenia, as well as joint efforts toward an effective fight against crime.
The sides also discussed the situation in the region and reaffirmed the strategic importance of maintaining peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia thanked Nikol Pashinyan for the meeting and highlighted the Georgian side's readiness to actively continue cooperation with the Armenian side across various areas.
