Electricity tariffs to rise in Georgia from April 1

Residential electricity tariffs are to rise by 5 tetri per kilowatt-hour, and commercial tariffs by 5 to 6 tetri. The relevant decision was made at today’s session of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission.

The new tariffs will take effect on April 1.

In particular, subscribers in Tbilisi who consume between 0 and 101 kilowatt-hours per month and currently pay 15.041 tetri per kilowatt-hour will see their tariff rise to 20.041 tetri from April 1.
