Employees of the Old Tbilisi Main Division under the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two individuals at different times, including one foreign national, on charges of illegal purchase and possession of an especially large quantity of narcotics, as well as facilitating their sale.

During personal searches and searches of the defendants` residences, as well as a result of conducted investigative activities, law enforcement officers seized especially large quantities of narcotics prepared for sale from various locations as piece of evidence, including "Alpha-PVP" and "Methadone".

As a result of the investigative actions, materials required for packaging the narcotics were also seized.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260-quarta of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a punishment of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
