Irakli Kobakhidze to lead the state commission established in connection with the Patriarch’s funeral

A state commission has been established regarding the funeral of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, which will be headed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze.

The commission includes: Minister of Defense and Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili; Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze; Minister of Culture, Tinatin Rukhadze; Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili; Minister of Regional Development, Kakhaber Guledani; Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili; Head of the State Security Service, Mamuka Mdinaradze; Head of the Administration of the Government, Levan Zhorzholiani; Head of the Special State Protection Service, Anzor Chubinidze.

Additionally, the following individuals have been requested to participate in the work of the state commission: President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili; Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili; Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze; and three representatives of the Georgian Patriarchate.
