Minister of Defense of Georgia participated in the 33rd meeting of the Ramstein format in Brussels

The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, participated in the 33rd meeting of the Ramstein format in Brussels.

The international group meeting at NATO Headquarters was chaired by the UK Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey, and the German Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius. The information was released by the Ministry of Defense.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Ukrainian Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov addressed the participants. The meeting was attended by heads of defense agencies and high-ranking officials from Alliance member and partner countries. The participants reviewed the current situation of the war in Ukraine and discussed military assistance needs.

The Ramstein format was established in April 2022 at the initiative of the US. Since February 13, 2025, it has been coordinated by the UK together with Germany.
