The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the US, Tamar Taliashvili, hosted Representatives of the Department of State: Senior Advisor for Policy Planning, Jonathan Askonas and Special Assistant, Charles Yockey at the Georgian Embassy.
The Georgian side once again expressed its readiness to reset relations with the US and emphasized the importance of renewing the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the agenda of US-Georgian bilateral relations. The discussion also touched upon Georgia`s unique role as a regional hub, as well as the logistics potential of the Middle Corridor. Ongoing developments on the international level were also discussed, including the significance of regional stability and development, as well as the importance of peace policies.
The US side reiterated its unconditional support for Georgia`s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
