Chairman of the Parliament`s European Integration Committee criticised Moldovan President for her comments on Georgia, calling on her to look after her country and save it from abolition.

He commented on Maia Sandu`s address at the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, where she spoke about Georgia in context of Russia`s hybrid influence, claiming that Russia had brought Georgia back into its orbit by using the fear of war as a weapon.

"She is the President of Moldova and should take care of her own country and save it from abolition. If we look at the statements she and her colleagues have made about Georgia over the past years, we can clearly see a trend - their main goal is to harm the country`s reputation. Today, it seems they decided that she should be the voice, the mouthpiece of this damage, but for the Georgian public, this has already become something that only causes a smile", - said Levan Makhashvili.
