Migration department employees deported 39 foreign citizens from Georgia

Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, have deported 38 foreign citizens from Georgia in recent days.

It is notable that the total number of persons deported from Georgia this year already amounted to 1243 persons.

The deported persons are the citizens of India, Turkey, Bangladesh, China, Iran, Russia, Kenya, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Jordan and Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify and deport foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without a legal basis, through intensive immigration control and other special measures.
