Mayor of Tbilisi responds on a recent statement by Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence of the US, who said that NATO and the EU didn’t want the war in Ukraine to end.

“The ongoing war is a major challenge for the modern world. When President Trump was elected, his main promises were, first, to end the war, and second, to defeat the deep state.

As for the war, active negotiations are under way. However, there are challenges - certain countries and politicians are opposing the end of the war. This is extremely difficult for Ukraine. I would not wish their situation on my enemy. Hopefully, it will be possible to stop the war… Prolonging the conflict causes severe hardship for Ukraine. Hope that ongoing talks would eventually lead to a cessation of hostilities”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
