PSG ordered to pay Kylian Mbappe 61 million euros

The Paris labor court issued its ruling in the multi-million euro dispute between Kylian Mbappé and PSG following the starэs departure in 2024. It sided with the French national team captain, ordering the club to pay several million euros, writes RMC Sport.

The 61 million euros is a victory for the Mbappé camp. "We did everything we could for over 18 months to reduce this dispute to the months of salary and bonus that were owed. So this is a victory", the player`s lawyers asserted. "This is not a personal issue at all. It`s simply the idea that there is a fundamental principle: when you do a job, you get paid for it".

The Mbappé camp wants PSG to pay as quickly as possible: "The court has ordered provisional enforcement, which means the club must pay immediately. Football is not a lawless zone. We hope PSG will comply voluntarily without us having to go through a bailiff. That would be honorable". After the hearing, the player`s two lawyers spoke. “We are very satisfied. This is a victory we have been waiting for for a long time. This is the third time that this conviction has been upheld", said one of the striker`s lawyers. "Kylian Mbappé has been demanding the same thing for 18 months: payment of his wages and bonus for the work he had done. The first two times the club didn`t want to pay because it was waiting for a decision from the labor court, and well, here it is", - added her colleague.
