The Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, received representatives from Latin American and the Caribbean region at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation is visiting Georgia under the framework of the professional development program, “Strengthening Global Connections through Public Sector Development”.
Initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 2025, the program is designed to enhance Georgia’s international engagement and contribute to global development.
The initiative hosts public servants from various global regions to introduce them to the country, share Georgia’s institutional progress and best practices across multiple sectors, showcase the nation’s potential as a strategic logistics hub, and foster closer professional networks. As part of the curriculum, participants also toured villages along the occupation line, where they were briefed on the security situation in the occupied territories and the severe humanitarian challenges faced by the local population.
This professional development framework is implemented with the active involvement and support of Georgia’s Ministries of Justice, Defense, Internal Affairs, Economy and Sustainable Development, Environmental Protection and Agriculture, alongside the State Security Service.
At the program’s closing ceremony on June 18, the Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs addressed the attendees and officially presented them with their certificates of completion.
