The Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, conducted an introductory meeting with Waleed Abu Haya, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Georgia.

The parties reviewed bilateral economic relations and outlined prospects for future cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on trade and economic ties, with both parties noting that Georgia–Israel trade turnover has experienced a robust 33% growth this year.

Minister and the Ambassador also evaluated current tourism trends between the two nations and discussed further expanding air connectivity. They highlighted that Georgia stands as the third most popular tourist destination for Israeli travelers, a status significantly bolstered by direct flights.

The meeting underscored that driving economic relations forward relies heavily on fostering strategic cooperation within the innovation and technology sectors.

The Minister of Economy concluded the meeting by wishing the Ambassador success during his diplomatic tenure.
