The Telavi District Court fully accepted the evidence presented by the prosecutor's office and found the defendant guilty of premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances.
The evidence examined during the trial established that on October 1, 2025, in Telavi Municipality, the defendant, citing intolerance for gender equality, stabbed his wife in the chest with a knife, resulting in her death.
The court found the defendant guilty of the charges brought under Article 109, Part 11, Subparagraphs “t” and “k” of the Criminal Code of Georgia (intentional murder under aggravating circumstances, committed due to intolerance of gender equality, against a family member) and sentenced him to 17 years and 6 months in prison.
