Strategic partnership with Georgia continues believe in European future of Georgia - Romania’s Foreign Minister

Romania is the first country in the European Union that has signed a strategic partnership with Georgia, and we continue to have that strategic partnership in place because we believe in the European future of Georgia, Romanian Foreign Minister said before the beginning of the EU Foreign Ministers’ Council.

“It is true that the ones who are fighting more for that future, who contribute more to that future in this present moment, are the citizens rather than the institutions and the political and the central authorities.

This demonstrates the resilience of Georgian society. We must continue dialogue and invest in Georgia’s European path. Why is this important for Romania? Because cooperation and solidarity matter, especially when we look at the Black Sea. And obviously, in that sense, we are worried about current developments in Georgia”, - said Oana-Silvia Țoiu.
