Within the framework of the Strasbourg Ministerial, Georgian Minister of Justice Paata Salia met with Monaco’s Secretary of State for Justice, Samuel Vuelta.
The parties discussed future cooperation plans. Salia outlined Georgia’s justice reforms in human rights, the penitentiary system, service development, and digital governance. He also invited the Monaco delegation to the UN Public Services Forum, scheduled to take place in Tbilisi from June 23 to 25, 2026.
Georgia’s Minister of Justice also met with Milan Hodás, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, in Strasbourg. Salia expressed gratitude for Slovakia’s support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He outlined Georgia’s priorities in human rights, the penitentiary system, service development, and digital governance. The discussions also encompassed the integration of AI into the justice system and the protection of human rights amidst technological progress.
The ministers discussed cooperation with the EU on justice, freedom, and security. They also committed to deepening bilateral ties and joint initiatives, including prisoner rehabilitation and penitentiary management. Salia invited Slovakia to the UN Public Services Forum in Tbilisi, scheduled for June 2026.
