The defendant was sentenced to 11 years in prison for committing a depraved act against a person under the age of fourteen with prior knowledge of the offender - PoG

The court considered the evidence presented by the prosecution and found the defendant guilty of committing a depraved act against three persons under the age of fourteen, with the prior knowledge of the offender, by abusing a position of trust and authority.

The investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the evidence presented by the prosecution at the trial confirmed that the founder of a private dance studio and the teacher of the same studio, on March 17, committed a depraved act against a student under the age of fourteen, abusing his trust and position of authority.

The defendant also committed similar acts against two other students of his studio in February 2021 and October 2023.

Law enforcement officers arrested the accused on March 17. He was charged under Article 141, Part 2, Subparagraphs “f” and “g” and Article 138, Part 3, Subparagraphs “b” and “a” of Part 4, Subparagraphs “a” and “b” of Article 138 of the Criminal Code of Georgia and was sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.

The Senaki District Court found the defendant guilty of the charges and sentenced him to 11 years in prison.
