US President believes that Ukraine should hold a presidential election, as a long time has passed since the previous vote. Donald Trump said this in the interview with POLITICO.

“Yeah, I think it’s time. I think it’s an important time to hold an election. They’re using war not to hold an election, but, uh, I would think the Ukrainian people would ... should have that choice. And maybe Zelenskyy would win”, - said the US President.

As he added, the situation in Ukraine “gets to a point where it’s not a democracy anymore”.
