Miss Jamaica took a shocking tumble during the Miss Universe preliminary evening gown round in Thailand, writes USA Today.

Dr. Gabrielle Henry was strolling across the stage in a long, flowing orange gown when she suddenly fell off the stage, as seen in social media video of the incident. Another social media video from the pageant shows a person being taken away in a stretcher.

In a statement to USA TODAY on Wednesday, Nov. 19, the Miss Universe Organization noted its president, Raúl Rocha Cantú, has visited Henry and reports she is in stable condition after sustaining "a couple of minor wounds". She is receiving treatment at a hospital in Bangkok, where she will remain under observation overnight.

"I was there with her family and her, and thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care", Cantú also wrote in an Instagram post.

The 28-year-old physician and advocate was set to compete at the 74th annual pageant on Friday, Nov. 21, which is already scandal-ridden.
