As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Lanchkhuti Police Division of Guria Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested V.G., born in 1971, who had a previous conviction, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of large and especially large amounts of narcotics.

The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During a search of the defendant"s residence, law enforcement officers seized various types of narcotics as evidence, including: Methadone, Dried Marijuana and Tetrahydrocannabinol.

As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized materials necessary for the production of narcotics and a special greenhouse set up for the cultivation of plants containing narcotics.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260 and 260-(4) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
