Damaged oak material was subject to return to the exporting country

At the customs checkpoint “Sadakhlo-Vehicle” of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, a vehicle loaded with 25 m3 of sawn oak material was stopped.

During the implementation of border quarantine control procedures, non-compliance with the phytosanitary requirements of Georgia, in particular, damage caused by insects on the oak material, was detected.

In accordance with the Resolution N463 of the Government of Georgia of September 20, 2019, the aforementioned goods were subject to return to the exporting country.
