Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze met with representatives of the Swiss pharmaceutical company "Novartis". The parties discussed the challenges in the Georgian healthcare sector.

They also discussed the development opportunities of the pharmaceutical industry. Special attention was paid to increasing the availability of medicines and introducing innovative medicines.

According to the Minister, effective cooperation with the private sector is important for patients to have access to quality and innovative medicines, which will ultimately increase the sustainability and efficiency of the country` healthcare system.

At the end of the meeting, the parties also discussed future cooperation formats, which will contribute to the implementation of innovative healthcare projects in Georgia.
